f you're interested in adoption - please read our To Adopt page and follow the instructions. We do not adopt outside of our area. We do not deviate from our adoption protocol, and will not return phone calls before receiving an application. Thank you!

If you need to surrender an IG to our organization - and you live in our area - please call our toll-free voice mailbox 888-921-4211and leave a message. We return nearly all calls within 24 hours.

If you have an IG in need of emergency surrender, please call Jenny at 715-495-8285. Veterinarians may fax vet records for emergency surrenders to 612-573-6663.

All intakes are contingent upon the availability of foster homes. If you are outside of the Minneapolis or western Wisconsin area, you will need to provide transportation for your dog into our foster care program. If you are outside our area, please do an internet search using 'Italian Greyhound Rescue' and the name of your state to find a rescue organization closer to your home.

If you need help with an IG in your home, please include the following information in your email: Your name, your location, the age of your IG and approximate size (height/weight) of your IG, how long you've owned your IG, and where your IG was acquired (rescue, shelter, breeder, pet store, etc.). We need this minimum amount of information in order to possibly provide help. Email questions to jenny@italiangreyhoundrescue.org.
